Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri took to his Twitter handle to share photos of children participating in ‘mock voting’ today in Jigawa state. Reno had thought that the underaged children were participating in an actual LGA election in the state as he shared the photos. Read what he wrote:
These pictures were taken today at Matsaro Polling Unit and Polling Unit 008 in Kasuwar Kudu ward in Jigawa, during the ongoing local government elections in the state. Until we clean up our elections in Nigeria, good governance will be far from us
However, one of his followers took to the comment section to inform him that it might not be an actual election, that the children could be going through electoral training.
Reno replied the fellow, asking him the rationale behind the training if the intention is not to use them in actual voting exercise. Read below.
