Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state met his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha today, Thursday, February 10, at an event in Abuja today.
Okorocha had arrived at the event and went on to give friendly handshakes to dignitaries at the event, among whom were APC Governors and other top politicians.
To the amazement of many, when Okorocha got to where Uzodinma was seated, he extended his hand of fellowship to him as well. However, the incumbent governor didn’t only shake the hand but also rose and gave him a hug.
The display of camaraderie contrasts the comments from the two Imo leaders who have been at loggerheads since Uzodinma became governor.
Recall that Uzodinma’s government has consistently accused Okorocha of looting Imo state and illegally taken possession of state property. And in December 2021, Okorocha accused Uzodinma and some of his aides of being responsible for the ‘kidnap’ of his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu who was forcefully taken during a church service in his Nkwerre hometown.
