Embattled popular Nigerian singer, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known by his stage name D’banj, spotted in a video, performing at a crowded party in Abuja in violation of the coronavirus protocol.
In the now viral video, neither the 40-year-old entertainer nor guests at the party were seen wearing face masks or making efforts to observe social distancing.
This comes as he faces probe over rape allegations leveled against him by a lady named Seyitan.

D’Banj social distancing flouting incident comes barely weeks after fellow singer, Naira Marley, was also criticised for performing at a concert in Abuja on June 14.
This led to the closure of Jabi Lake Mall, where the concert was held and the suspension of the operating license of ExecuJet, the jet services provider which flew him and his crew from Lagos to Abuja in violation of the coronavirus travel ban.
Some Tweeps argued that the Kokomaster ought to be sober and clear himself of the rape allegations first, but instead he went on to glaringly break the law on social gatherings.
@l_Am_Ilemona wrote, “At a time when he is in the news on allegations of rape & kidnapping. Someone will have said, that’s not my business.”
@tflourish tweeted, “In a nation where there are no consequences for actions, this is what you get. Naira Marley did it and got away with it so why not D’Banj?”
@Seyitundeayantunde also tweeted, “Apparently coronavirus protocols are for poor people.”
“D’Banj is just confused…. Doesn’t he have a manager again?” tweeted @Deeeccoo.
