Video of Spanish “ghost village” that re-emerged from underwater after 30yrs

The Aceredo village in the Galicia region of Spain has re-emerged from the depths after it was flooded in 1992.

Global News reports that local authorities say that usually just the peaks of roofs show themselves, however the whole town has now risen for some spectacular drone footage.

In the last three months, Spain has recorded just 35% of the average rainfall it had seen from 1981 to 2010.

The former village of Aceredo, which sits on the Spanish-Portugal border, was submerged three decades ago when a hydropower dam flooded the valley to create the reservoir.
