Today, Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello (aka JJC Skillz), were sentenced to 14 days of community service and ordered to pay a fine of N100,000 each after they were found guilty of flouting the Lagos state’s order on social gathering.
The actress had organised a party on Saturday to celebrate her husband’s birthday and some of her colleagues attended the house party.
After their sentencing, Nigerians took to Twitter to express their concern over the incident. They called out the authorities, including the court, for breaking the same law they were trying the actress for.
This comes after a video of the actress and her husband being taken to court captured a large number of persons who didn’t main distance from each other.
