One of the officials of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) who participated at the funeral of Late Abba Kyari has sparked outrage after he was caught on camera as he recklessly dumped his Personal Protective Equipment by the roadside.
After many Nigerians took to social media to express outrage and demand arrest of the man, the Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad reacted, claiming that the PPE which was dump by the roadside was later picked up by another dedicated official who later burnt them.
“The video of an NCDC official dumping his PPE is misleading. True, some officials removed their PPEs at the cemetery, but a dedicated staff went around, picked all and put them in a casket and then used a chemical to burn them. They also disinfected the environment, immediately.” Bashir wrote.
