Two officers reportedly attached to Former vice president, Atiku Abubakar’s company in Adamawa state have been killed by suspected gunmen.
Police Public Relation Officer of Adamawa State Police Command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya, confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that two of its senior officers have been killed at a factory in the state.
The command lost a DSP and an ASP to a yet to clarified incident which happened at Rico Gado Nutrition, a company reportedly to the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the 2019 general election, Atiku Abubakar.
Suleiman at the moment could not ascertain how the two policemen where killed at the company which is situated at Gese Derdirabe Farms, 36km off Yola, along the Yola-Numan road.
However, speaking about the event, DSP Suleiman said, “Corpses of two senior police officers were brought to the police headquarters this evening. What caused their death is not yet known for now.”
Meanwhile, an unofficial source reveals that the officers were killed by yet to be identified gunmen at the location.
The source further alleged that the gunmen who were seeking out a possible office location around the Rico Gado establishment from policemen posted there opened fire on the two officers.
This online news platform learnt that Rico Gado Nutrition, a company involved in the production of livestock feed is Atiku’s second-biggest factory in Adamawa State after the Adama Beverages located in Jimeta, Yola.
