The election of Governor Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been upheld by the petition tribunal of the Kaduna State Gubernatorial Election while dismissing the petition filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The three-man panel of judges led by Justice Victor Oviawie, Justice K. Damlat, and Justice N. Nonye, during the judgment, took Five and half hours, struck out the petition because the preliminary notice was filed out of time after the 21-day prescribed by the constitution, and was deemed to have been abandoned.
Justice N. Nonye, supported his ruling while Justice K. Damlat opposed noting that the preliminary notice was properly filed and was not abandoned.
