Three children have died, two persons injured, while two others have been rescued alive after a two-storey building collapsed at Nomansland in Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State.
According to local sources, the building housed a family of six who were caught in their sleep when the structure collapsed.
The building caved in at around 2am on Thursday, September 5, 2024, because of a heavy downpour.
The overflow of the down pour also affected the building located close to it and the building also collapsed.
Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, The Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service, who confirmed the incident said two persons have been rescued alive so far and taken to the hospital, while two have been confirmed dead as the rescue operation continued.
