Simon Ekpa, one of the strong voices of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and loyalist of Nnamdi Kanu has challenged, Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, to a debate.
Ekpa said he needs to be convinced why he and others should abandon the Biafra struggle to support Obi in the 2023 Presidential election.

Please I do not want us to ignore this question as we need the support of Ipob for us to be able to deliver Peter Obi. It aught to be well articulated answer that would allow us a free campaign without any attack from inside alaigbo.
I joined Peter Obi because I see him a respected of human right who should view the agitation for self determination not as a criminal offense but as a constitutional right of the agitators.
Not because he’s an Igbo man but butt because of the peace that would come alongside it. With an educated man like Obi, our referendum is assured. This is my candid submission
