A young man whose father was kidnapped two weeks ago has expressed disappointment over the inability of the Nigerian security operatives to rescue him after his father served the country for 35 years as a soldier.
In a Twitter thread he shared on Monday morning, the young man revealed that his family has paid ransom for his release twice, yet his abductors have refused to let him go.
He also said that when he contacted the police, he was told to “hope and pray”.
