Sisi Yemmie and her husband have been stopped from voting at their polling units at Awoyaya, Lagos State. The incident took place on Saturday, March 18.
According to her post on Twitter, the famous content creator on Youtube and Instagram, Yemmie, and her husband were prevented from casting their votes because they happen to look like Igbos.
She shared a video covered at the scene, where she mentioned that she was born in Lagos state and one of those who prevented them from casting their votes said the fact that she was born in Lagos doesn’t mean she is a native of Lagos State.
Despite her several attempts at defense and making the gatekeepers allow her and her husband into the polling station, they were refused entry.
