Director-General of the PDP-PCC in Rivers State, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, has escaped death after his vehicle was battered with bullets by armed men on Thursday, February 9th.
Sekibo told pressmen that the gunmen dressed like policemen opened fire on his bulletproof SUV at Rainbow town in Port Harcourt, the state capital, when he went to inspect the venue of the PDP presidential rally.
Sekibo said this occurred after the venue of the rally was raided by arsonists.
He said, “As we approached the site, those men who were watching the inferno opened fire on our vehicle. I looked at the Hilux vehicles, they were police Hilux vehicles attached to the Governor of Rivers State.”
