Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States and wife of President Donald Trump, is marking her 50th birthday today, April 27, 2020.
President Trump and other members of his family took to social media to celebrate her.
Melania who has been married to Trump for 15 years will have a quiet fashion golden jubilee birthday at the White House due to the nationwide coronavirus lockdowns, according to her chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham.
US First Daughter, and Melania’s step daughter, Ivanka Trump sent her best wishes via Instagram and Twitter, sharing a sweet snap of the the First Lady with her husband.
Her daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, wife of the president’s son Eric, also posted a picture in honor of her birthday.
Fans flooded social media with tributes to the first lady, including GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
‘Thank you for the amazing job you do serving our country as First Lady,’ McDaniel tweeted along with a photo of Donald and Melania.
UK Ambassador Woody Johnson tweeted a compilation of photos of Melania, writing: ‘Suzanne and I wish a very Happy Birthday to our friend and First Lady, Melania Trump!’
Melania has remained largely out of the public eye since the coronavirus pandemic took hold in the US last month.
Last week she made her first public appearance since March 10 when she and her husband marked Earth Day by planting a tree on the South Lawn at the White House.
While sheltering at home at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the first lady has remained active on social media, posting video tips on how to cope and retweeting advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
She appears to be taking a break from the web for her birthday weekend, having only retweeted a few posts in the past couple days.
