Governor Hope Uzodinma has ordered the immediate opening of the new Imo State High Court Complex built by Rochas Okorocha’s administration but locked up by Emeka Ihedioha’s administration.
Recall that the brand new Imo State High Court Complex, named after Justice Chukwudifu Oputa was one of the projects commissioned in May 2019, days before the end of Okorocha’s administration.
During the commissioning on May 15th 2019, the Chief Justice of Nigeria who was represented by Justice Myrian Amina praised the complex and called it the best state high court complex in Nigeria.
Unfortunately, on the assumption of office by the immediate past governor, the complex was left under lock as Emeka Ihedioha condemned the project as substandard and unfitting for judges to move in.
After going for assessment of the complex, the newly sworn-in governor Uzodinma reaffirmed what Justice Myrian Amina said in May 2019.
According to Uzodinma: “The New Imo State High Court Complex is the best in the Country with State of Art facility built by the past Government of H.E @realRochas. After the Inspection, i have directed the State Chief Judge to immediatley move in with the State Judges and other Judicial Staff”
Below are some of the photos of the new court complex during the commissioning in May, 2019.
