The 2019 edition of Osita Iheme Annual Quiz Competition held on Sunday, December 8th and the ace Nollywood actor was present to give out prizes to winners among the participating schools.
Expressiveinfo learnt from Onyekachi Ogwurike, Secretary of the Planning Committee of the 2019 Osita Iheme Annual Quiz Competition that students from the participating secondary schools from the 9 Local Government Areas of Owerri Senatorial Zone took part in the Quiz Competition sponsored by the Teen Coach, motivational speaker, and one of Nigeria’s finest actors, Chief Osita Kenneth Iheme (MFR).
Mr Ogwurike stated that 20 schools contended in areas such as English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Current Affairs.
After the First Round, The Six (6) Schools that progressed to the Second/Final Round were:
1. Archdeacon Dennis Junior Seminary, Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA (1st Position with 55 points)
2. Dora Nwankiti Juniorate, Inyishi, Ikeduru LGA (2nd, with 50 points)
3. Ekwereazu Girls Secondary School, Ahiazu Mbaise LGA (3rd, with 45 points)
4. Government Secondary School, Owerri, Owerri Municipal LGA (4th, with 35 points)
5. Enyiogugu Secondary School, Aboh Mbaise LGA (5th, with 30 points)
6. Comprehensive Secondary School, Iho, Ikeduru LGA (6th, with 25 points)
The top three(3) Schools were rewarded with Cheques of N200,000+White Board; N150,000+White Board and N100,000+ White Board respectively.
Each of the three (3) best Students that were accessed on individual performance received a laptop.
