PDP object to deployment of Gov Bello’s former ADC to monitor Saturday’s election in Kogi

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has objected to the deployment of Usman Musa Shigaba to monitor Saturday’s Governorship election in Kogi State.

The party raised the objection to the deployment of Usman Musa Shigaba whom they revealed was the ADC of governor Yahaya Bello, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement released by the Party’s Deputy Director of Public Communication, Comrade Austin Oka, Usman was accused of leading attacks on opposition party members in previous elections.

Oka alleged that the deployment of Usman meant that INEC at the national and state level were working towards ensuring Governor Yahaya Bello wins the election.

The PDP who appealed to INEC and the IG of police to rescind the decision to deploy the Kogi governors former security aide, added that it will not condone attempt by INEC and security agencies to cave into the pressure of the ruling party (APC).

The party also warned that the deployment of the police officer linked to the shoot out at its primary election might lead to a breakdown of law and order in Saturday’s election.
