One of the outriders attached to the convoy of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Yusuf Bawa has reportedly lost his wife hours after escaping an accident involving the number two citizen.
Recall that the accident which occurred on Friday March 13, while the vice-president was heading to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, claimed the life of one of his escorts identified as Ali Gomina.
It was gathered that Inspector Gomina who was knocked down while trying to clear the way for the motorcade of the vice-president, stepped in for Bawa who was attending to his sick wife. Bawa’s wife however died on Saturday morning.
The spokesman to the Vice President, Laolu Akande said the late Gomina was knocked down by a hit and run Toyota Camry car which flung him against an oncoming truck while attempting to clear the way for the Vice President’s motorcade.
