The 4×100 female relay race finals’ trophy at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta, was won by the Anambra State team.
This team comprised of Chiamaka Nwankwo, Lucy Nwankwo, Oluebube Ezechukwu and Adaeze Eze.
The tetrad won the only available gold as they finished the race in about 47.80 seconds.
In the 200 metre final, Lucy dropped a place to win the silver in 24.88 seconds, in the 200 metre final, while Oluebube emerged third after ending the race in 2511 seconds to win the bronze.
The state will compete in the 100m final sectioned for Saturday, before the closing event.
