More information have emerged regarding the arrest and detention of former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice in London.
Earlier, it was reported that the couple was arrested for alleged involvement in organ harvesting.
The London metropolitan police confirmed the couple’s arrests in a statement, saying the pair was charged to court on Thursday following an investigation by the police’ specialist crime team.
The police added that the investigation was launched after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May 2022.
However, according an informant who didn’t want to be named, “The story goes a lot deeper than is being portrayed.
“The senator didn’t attempt organ harvest. He was trying to save his daughter who has kidney issues. A lady volunteered to donate, but somehow, when they got to London, the lady disappeared and reappeared at Immigration seeking asylum in London. When queried, she made this allegation, as a means of facilitating a stay in London.
“What I have not confirmed is whether Ike Ekweremadu did the proper documentations or he tried to do it the typical Nigerian way.
“But the lady, I hear, was already paid for the donation and as the case has turned this way, the daughter’s chance of living again is reducing by the second.
“The daughter has kidney failure. I don’t know the lady. And I can’t speculate until I have the correct information.”
