There is apprehension in Kano state over the sudden rise in death from undetected ailments.
Few days back, it was reported in several media platforms that about 150 people died under the space of three days, causing undertakers and grave diggers in the ancient city of Kano to express deep concerns.
The dead bodies buried in three cemeteries excludes others buried in dozens of burial grounds across the eight local government areas that constitute Kano metropolis, Daily Trust reports.
Additionally, a medical doctor, Khalid Munir raised the alarm that the death toll in Kano state has risen to 640.
“Who knows what is killing people? The development is causing people to panic and no one knows what is going on.
“The index Coronavirus case for example went to a lot of places even Friday prayers before he was confirmed positive, so a lot of people might be walking around with Coronavirus and dying from it and not even know,” he said.
It should be noted that the state is currently on lockdown, imposed by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

I saw some clips from Kano friend. trust me it was scaring…very very. Just within few days..a number of casualties were recorded. The state govt will have to act fast if not this will breed a major case for the country in such times. It’s quite unfortunate that some northerns don’t believe corona virus exist, proofs from the videos i saw online. Through it all, It is well…this too shall pass
