The father of a 16-year-old Mustapha Sunusi has been arrested for killing his son over theft.
The father, identified as Sunusi Abdul-Wahab, allegedly beat Mustapha to death with a club because he stole millet.
The incident took place in Tanagar, Warawa L.G.A., Kano State.
According to eyewitnesses, the matter sent the quiet village into a state of grief and sorrow.
One news source commented that the man went to far in correcting his son. He “lost his cool and clubbed him to death.” The Kano PPRO, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said the police have taken up the matter. He also promised to update the public on the progress of the matter.
