Some police officers in the Ubeji/Egbokodo Itsekiri Community in Warri South local government area of Delta state have been accused of chasing a yet-to-be-identified man to his death.
A posts on X said that the officers who are of the Operation Delta Hawk, chased the deceased into a nearby River ( lake ) at Deeper life road waterside where he drowned.
Reacting to the report on X, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said no one has received any information about the deceased man. He called on the family of the deceased to come forward to report the case to assist the police.
‘’Pls while we are investigating, To this moment, we have not received any information from anybody on d identity of the victim and what happened apart from the post on Twitter. Anyone who can assist should pls go to Ubeji police post or A division warri. Especially fr his family” Watch a video of the victim’s body after it was found by residents of the community.
