Two children and 48 Nigerian women have been deported from Libya to Nigeria.
This action was taken by Libya’s Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM), with support from Nigeria’s consular services and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
They where deported through Mitiga International Airport, ensuring their safe return to Nigeria.
Migrant Rescue Watch made the announcement of the development in a statement on X.
The statement read, “DCIM repatriated from Tripoli with consular and IOM support 48 #migrant females with 2 children of Nigerian nationality via Mitiga Int. Airport.”
