Senator Emmanuel Bwacha was on Thursday reinstated as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba state by an appeal court in Yola, Adamawa state capital.
Justice Tani Yusuf, who led the 3-man panel on November 24, set aside the earlier judgment of the federal high court in Jalingo, Taraba state capital.
A federal high court in Jalingo had on September 20, nullified APC primary election that produced Bwacha as the APC governorship candidate in the 2023 election.
The high court also ordered the ruling party to conduct a fresh primary election and elect a new governorship candidate.
One of the aspirants of the party, David Sabo Kente, had filed a petition before the high court, to argue that no APC governorship primary was held in Taraba state.
