How can we continue to allow this nonsense to happen? How can a 70 year old man be allowed to marry a 15 year old girl? Is’t is shameful that a family and community in Nigeria will come together to commit this level of child abuse in the name of marriage in this 21st century!
A facebook user, Aliyu Umar shared pictures of a 70 year old man identified as Yakubu Chanji, getting married to a 15 year old teenager at a wedding that took place on Monday in Lapai, Niger State, with family and friends in attendance.
Aliyu was actually happy and told the couple congratulation. What a shame!
