The impeachment of president Donald Trump by the United States House of Representatives has left a mark, not only in the U.S, but the entire world.
In Nigeria, many aired their opinions regarding the U.S impeachment saga. Some sided with the Democrats who impeached Trump while others stood with the Republicans and Trump.
As the debate on whether Trump’s action warranted impeachment or not rages, some Nigerians are of the opinion that president Buhari who been accused of suppressing rule of law and disobeying court orders has done far more to be impeached, yet, has not been impeached because our National Assembly members lack the courage to consider it.
Some even went as far as listing the ‘impeachable offences’ they believe the president has committed. The offences according to Nigerian Twitter users includes failure to fulfill his campaign promises to Nigerians, abuse of office, disobedience to court orders, allocation of bloated amount to fund projects amongst others.
