Nigerian striker Odion is reportedly willing to let go of £6m (about N2.6billion) from his salary with Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua in order to stay permanently at Manchester United.
The former Watford and Udinese striker has been a revelation since his surprise January deadline loan move from Shanghai Shenhua to Man United.
Odion Ighalo has scored four goals in eight appearances, and coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been impressed by the Nigerian’s attitude in training and amongst his team mates.
According to a report by The Sun, Ighalo is keen to stay at United permanently and is willing take a pay cut off 6 million pounds in order to make the move permanent.
According to the Sun UK, Ighalo knows that United will not match his current salary of 300,000 pounds per week he earned at China and has ‘no problem’ with drastically reducing his wage.
United might sign Ighalo on a permanent deal but will have to pay £15 -£20 million though Shanghai Shenhua paid £5.27m to sign him from CC Yatai in 2019.
