Google is calling on Startups that are using AI to provide solutions to apply for the 2024 Google for Startups Accelerator Africa program.
Application duration is April 29 – May 20, 2024.
Google for Startups Accelerator Africa program is a 10-week equity-free accelerator program for Seed to Series A startups based in Africa or developing Africa-centered solutions.
The program is open to applicants in Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte D’ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
It focuses on supporting growth-stage startups solving problems using advanced technology, such as AI/ML or data across key verticals.
The startups will be paired with relevant Google and industry experts to solve their top challenges, and provided with insights and best practices to improve their product and business.
Requirements
- Google for Startups Accelerator Africa accepts applications from Seed to Series A startups in eligible Africa countries.
- Startups must demonstrate traction, ideally between Seed and Series A stage. This means that the startups must show measure of progress in terms of gaining customers, user engagement, market demand and revenue generation.
- Startup must build a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and defensible growth model.
- Must be deeply technical, preferably leveraging technologies like Machine Learning and AI.
- Must have commitment from CTO and/or technical roles to participate and engage in required program sessions.
