Lupita Nyong’o is starting to act like Cardi B after visiting Lagos, Nigeria.
The 37-year-old Oscar and BET Awards winning actress arrived in Nigeria about two weeks ago and was first hosted by Nigerian International author, Chimamanda Adichie ahead of the screening of Americanah, an upcoming drama miniseries by Adichie. Lupita Nyong’o featured in the ten-episode HBO series directed by Danai Gurira.
Lupita also celebrated her birthday in Lagos and many Nigerian celebrities and Media personalities were invited to celebrate with her and make her feel at home.
The actress also attended an event to celebrate the life of Engr. Olusegun Akann Doherty and rocked a blue ensemble with gele (headgear) and other accessories to match her outfit and overall she looked like a ‘Lagos slay queen’.
Sharing pictures and video from the ceremony, the ‘Queen of Katwe’ star wrote:
Funmbi said, “Make her look like a Lagos slay queen.” Tolu obliged.
Grateful to have been a part of the celebration of Engr. Olusegun Akann Doherty’s well-loved life.
