The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has given his complete support to Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the LP Governorship candidate for Lagos State, saying he is the best man for the job.
He spoke on Monday during an interview with Arise TV
Obi said Gbadebo is a “true and thorough Lagosian from a family that is well known”.
“His educational background, his age, everything is not in question and he has the right age and the right energy,” Obi said.
While disputing the notion that Gbadebo has to have experience, to govern Lagos, Obi said, those who claim to have experience are boosting of experience of corruption.
The former Anambra State Governor recalled that when he was campaigning to be the governor of his state, he was about 39 years old and people questioned what experience he had to govern.
“The only experience that they can claim is the same experience of corruption, experience of stealing, experience of doing the wrong thing,” Obi said.
“In fact at times it’s good to bring somebody who doesn’t have that experience so that he can clean up the mess.”
“I came in without that experience and when they wanted to teach me that experience, I told them they are wrong.”
