Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, a.k.a Jenifa, has been nominated as one of the potential running mates to the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdulaziz Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.
Funke Akindele’s name is currently trending on and offline following the crash of her marriage to music executive, JJC Skills.
However, Akindele was among the six persons shortlisted by the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Deputy Governorship candidacy.
Other shortlisted names include the former governorship aspirant, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour; former Senatorial candidate for Lagos East, Yeye Shobajo, David Kolawole Vaughan known as DAKOVA, and Engr. Teslim Balogun.
Recall that Akindele’s colleague, Tonto Dikeh, was recently selected as African Democratic Congress (ADC), deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State.
