The COVID-19 patients who are being isolated at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe on Friday afternoon staged a protest over alleged of lack of food and medical attention.
This protest comes days after a similar incident happened at the Kwadom Isolation Centre in Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area of the state.
The state police command spokesperson, SP Mary Malum, who confirmed the incident, said the situation has been brought under control and the protesting patients have been returned to the isolation center.
”The issue has been brought under control. They have been taken back to Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe. They have been returned back” she said
As at Friday night, May 8th, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reports that Gombe state a total of 110 confirmed cases of Coronavirus.
