Persons linked to the Federal Government reportedly gave a directive to prevent Nigeria’s first satellite television broadcast, Africa Independent Television (AIT) from covering today’s unveiling of 2020-2025 broadband policy by President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to reports, AIT reporter and cameraman were kicked out of the venue following what security operatives said were based on “orders from above”.
The unveiling ceremony is organised by Nigerian communications commission (NCC) and federal ministry of communications and digital economy.
