Rare throwback photos of the immediate past Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan have hit the internet. They are photos that captured the young Jonathan a an undergraduate and as a corps member.
Goodluck Jonathan graduated from University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT), Rivers state with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology in 1981.
Subsequently, he did his Master of Science degree in Hydrobiology and Fisheries in 1985. And Later, he did his Doctorate degree in Zoology in 1995, all from the same institution.
The former President served as a corps member at Ebekun Secondary Commercial Grammar School, Iresi, Osun State, 38 years ago.
Jonathan was born on 20 November 1957. He is married to Patience Jonathan. He worked as an education inspector, a lecturer and an environmental-protection officer before entering into politics.
Goodluck Jonathan was President of Nigeria between 2010-2015, Vice-President from 2007-2010, Governor of Bayelsa from 2005-2007 and Deputy Governor from 1999-2005. He was in Power for 17 years, rising the position of a deputy governor of Bayelsa state to President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He lost the 2015 presidential election to former military head of state, Muhammadu Buhari, thereby becoming the first incumbent president to concede electoral defeat in the country.
