Akwa Ibom based Journalist, Kufre Carter has finally regained freedom.
Carter who works with XL 106.9 FM Uyo in Akwa Ibom state was arrested for allegedly defaming Dominic Ukpong, the state commissioner of health following his comments on the way the COVID-19 pandemic is being handled in the state.
Inibehe Effiong, counsel to the journalist, who confirmed his release to TheCable, said his client was freed on Wednesday.
