Popular US-based Nigerian author and feminist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on Thursday, April 28 received her 16th honorary doctorate from the Catholic University of Louvain (UC Louvain) founded in 1425 by Pope Martin V.
She received the doctorate alongside Florence Abuenas and Michael E. Mann.
Catholic University of Louvain is one of the oldest Catholic universities in Europe and the biggest French-speaking university in Belgium.
The ceremony took place at the main campus in Louvain-la-Neuve.
The theme of this year’s edition is “The Fragility of Truth”.
