Professor James Nwoye Adichie, father of renown US-based Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, was laid to rest today, Friday October 9, in Abba, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The Auxiliary Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Jonas Benson Okoye presided over the burial mass, held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church Abba.
Among the dignitaries present at the funeral was the former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi.
Photos posted by the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) shows Dr. Ivara Esege being the ever supportive husband as he cradled and held on to his grieving wife, Chimamanda.
