The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has elected Rt. Hon. Abraham Ngobere as Speaker.
Ngobere was before now, the Deputy Speaker of the House.
The immediate past Speaker, Monday Bubou-Obolo stepped down from the apex position to give room for an election for a new Speaker
The development followed the inauguration of Governor Douye Diri, who is from the same Bayelsa Central Senatorial District as Bubou-Obolo.
Members, therefore, elected the Deputy Speaker as the new Speaker of the House.
