268 Nigerians who were stranded in China have arrived in Abuja. Their flight landed at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport on Saturday afternoon.
The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, revealed in a tweet that the returnees would proceed on a compulsory 14 days quarantine as stipulated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The evacuation comes after some Africans, including Nigerian nationals, faced serial racial discrimination in Guangzhou, China, from provincial officials, which saw many sleeping on the streets after they were made homeless.
