Boyfriend arrested for giving out his girlfriend to a ritualist

The Delta State Police Common has arrested a who allegedly gave out his girlfriend to a ritualist.

The two persons arrested in connection with the ritual killing of the 18-year old girl, Favour Ogheneyenrowho whose corpse was found tied up in a ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag and dropped at a refuse dump site behind Ozoro Park in Abraka on June 18, 2019, with her pubic hair shaved off, were identified as Abraka herbalist, politician and chief, Kings Okpako aka Kuti and Henry Ikechukwu.

Henry Ikechukwu who was tracked down and arrested on 28th of June, 2019 after the deceased was last seen by her older sister, Maureen, confessed to have invited the deceased for an outing on 17th of June, 2019, from where he lured her and handed her over to Kuti. The man who revealed that he gave out his girlfriend to the ritualist, said this is the third lady he has handed over to him (Kuti), but the first death recorded so far.

Recall that it was reported days ago that the girl was a victim of ritual killing, which had become a trend in the university community in recent times. Confirming the incident, a relation of the deceased, Maureen Sunday, explained that on that fateful day, her sister left with a boy on a motorcycle while on her way to the market but never returned home. Sunday contended that the deceased had received a call from a man at about 10:00 am, requesting that they meet at Abraka Park.
