Mexican drug cartel attempts to ambush and kill border patrol agents resulting In major gunfight.
The incident happened in Fronton, Texas and resulted in Border Patrol returning fire.
“Cartel members tried to bring a group of illegal immigrants across the river. The agents fired back. No one on either side was hit. The group of illegal immigrants did not make it across,” Collin Rugg.
The border in Fronton is extremely dangerous.
Cartel members are constantly fighting for the territory, as it’s a hot spot for human smuggling.
