President Tinubu’s vision is to build a nation founded on fairness, equity, and unity, ensuring:

  • Equitable development
  • Inclusive governance
  • Quality services for all Nigerians, regardless of location
  • Strengthening the national fabric

These commissions will play a crucial role in driving development and addressing specific regional challenges, aligning with President Tinubu’s commitment to a unified
and prosperous Nigeria.

In a swift reaction, The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for signing
the South East Development Commission (SEDC) and North West Development Commission (NWDC) bills into law. This move marks a significant milestone in the development of the South East and North West regions of Nigeria.

and development, stating that the signing of these laws demonstrates his dedication to equitable development and the well-being of all Nigerians.

He re-emphasized that the SEDC aims to foster comprehensive development across the five South-East states, while the NWDC will drive development in the seven North-West states. Ezeokenwa highlighted the urgent need for development in the South East,
citing the devastation of the civil war and ongoing ecological challenges.

He acknowledged the efforts of South East Federal lawmakers and APGA legislators in ensuring the passage of the SEDC bill, and reaffirmed APGA’s commitment to national unity and development. Ezeokenwa expressed his personal involvement in advocating for the SEDC and APGA’s consistent championing of its cause.
