The All-Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has been declared winner of the September 28, 2024, local government elections in Anambra State, clearing all chairmanship and councillorship seats across the 21 local government areas of the state. Chairman of the Anambra
State Independent Electoral Commission, ANSIEC, Genevieve Osakwe, announced the results at the ANSIEC office in Awka.
Declaring the election as free and fair, Osakwe said the commission carefully collated and analysed the results to ensure that there were no mistakes.
According to her, none of the opposition candidates or political parties and their party agents came to the ANSIEC office where the election was declared.
She commended the people of Anambra State for trooping out en masse to exercise their civic rights, while also appreciating security agencies for ensuring peace
and orderliness throughout the process.
“We carefully collated and analysed the results to ensure that there were no mistakes. All the scores and the parties were announced at the polling units. We are here today to affirm the results as recorded. “Election held at all the polling units across Anambra State on September 28, and it was free, fair and credible.” As she reiterated.
Furthermore and in his wisdom, the National Chairman, APGA – Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa is thrilled to extend his warmest congratulations to the winners of the September 28, 2024, local government elections in Anambra State stating that the resounding victory is a testament to the strength and resilience of our great party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA)
The party’s sweep of all chairmanship and councillorship seats across the 21 local
government areas is a remarkable achievement, demonstrating the unwavering trust and confidence the people of Anambra State have in APGA’s leadership. This victory
would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our candidates, party loyalists, and the good people of Anambra State who trooped out to exercise their civic rights.
He commended the Chairman of the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC), Genevieve Osakwe, for conducting a free and fair election. The
commission’s diligence in ensuring the integrity of the electoral process is laudable and sets a high standard for future elections.
To our winners, he urged them to remain committed to the principles of APGA, prioritizing the welfare and development of our people. Your victory is not just a personal achievement but a collective triumph for our party and the state he reiterated.
