June 12, 2024, marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s history as the country celebrates 25 years of uninterrupted democratic governance. Despite the challenges and harsh economic realities, the nation has made remarkable progress in consolidating its democracy. As the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly is honored to reflect on this journey and share our party’s vision for the future.

The Past: A Journey of Resilience
Nigeria’s democratic journey began on June 12, 1999, with the inauguration of President Olusegun Obasanjo, marking the end of military rule and the beginning of a new era.

Over the years, the country has conducted six successful elections, with power transferring peacefully between governments. This feat is a testament to the resilience and determination of the Nigerian people.

The Present: Challenges and Achievements.
Today, Nigeria faces numerous challenges, including economic hardship, insecurity, and infrastructure deficits. However, we have also made significant progress and still consolidating in areas such as:
