“All is well!” Trump reacts as Iran fires missiles at U.S airbase in Iraq

The United States has confirmed that ‘more than a dozen’ ballistic missiles were fired from Iran at two US bases in Iraq.

“At approximately 5.30pm (EST) on January 7, Iran launched more than a dozen ballistic missiles against US military and coalition forces in Iraq. It is clear that these missiles were launched from Iran and targeted at least two Iraqi military bases hosting US military and coalition personnel at Al-Assad and Irbil.” US Pentagon said.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency also reported a second wave of rocket attacks has commenced against the Al Asad air base in Iraq, according to The Guardian.

Iran says it has launched “tens” of surface-to-surface missiles at Iraq’s Ain Assad air base housing US troops over America’s killing of a top Iranian general.

This tweet from Iranian state TV shows their footage.

President Donald Trump in his response Tweeted, ‘All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning’.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also said via its official Telegram channel that, in the event Iranian soil is bombed, it will target the cities of Dubai United Arab Emirates, and Haifa Israel, in the third wave of operations.

Iran’s minister of telecommunications Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi took to Twitter following the missile attack on US targets in Iraq to Tweet; “Get the hell out of our region!”.
