Governor Ademola Adeleke has been ruled out as the duly elected governor of Osun State.
The verdict was made by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Oshogbo.
The tribunal then ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to withdraw the Certificate of Return given to Adeleke and hand it to Ex-Governor of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola.
Justice Tertse Kume, chairman of the Tribunal, read the majority result, which said Oyetola scored the majority lawful votes of 314,931 against Adeleke’s 219,666.
The minority judgement is still ongoing.
The judgement came as an update to the ongoing lawsuit against Adeleke regarding alleged electoral malpractice.
