Large number of protesters have stormed surroundings of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) Church in Abuja and in Lagos to protest the alleged rape of Mrs. Busola Dakolo, wife of Nigeria’s soul singer Timi Dakolo, by the founder and Senior Pastor of the church, Pastor Abiodun Fatoyinbo.
Interestingly, while the supporters of Busola Dakolo and her husband, Timi were shouting different slogans such as “No to Rape!”; “Shame on you!” ; “O Lord, come down and manifest your Justice!” and so on; the supporters of Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo where also seen with placards that reads inscriptions in defense of the clergyman.
The protests are going on despite the heavy presence of security personnel at both the Abuja and Lagos location.
The police and Army were able to cordoned off the environment where COZA church in Lagos and Abuja are situated very early before the arrival of worshippers and protesters.
