Nigerian Army neutralizes bandits arms supplier in Zamfara, recover weapons

Nigerian Army have neutralized a suspected arms supplier while attempting to flee after being intercepted with weapons meant for bandits in Zamfara State.

The incident happened during a night operation in Nasarawa Burkullu, where security forces acting on intelligence accosted the suspect, identified as a known arms trafficker from Anka.

Upon sighting the troops, the suspect attempted to escape but was swiftly neutralized.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, preliminary investigations confirmed that he was transporting firearms and ammunition to criminal groups operating in the region who have been crying out that they went out of weapons as troops intensified their pursuit against them.
