The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been summoned by the House of Representatives’ Committee on Public Petitions to appear today, Thursday, 25th January, 2024.
The summon was issued over the petition made by Marshal Kayode-Beckley against the anti-graft agency over the refusal to refund the sum of ten million naira (N10,000,000) in the judgement of the court in charge No. FCT/HC/181/2016 between Federal Republic of Nigeria vs AVM John Adeniyi Kayode-Beckley.
Similarly, the House committee also summoned the Ethiopian Airline on the petition made by Yunana Elisha Maida over the inhuman treatment, gross negligence, vandalisation and degrading treatment of his person and property while on board their airline.
Those summoned are expected to appear for hearing today, Thursday, before the committee chaired by committee chairman, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba.
